Hiking and Trekking in the Atlas Mountains
Atlas Maroc offers treks, hiking sites in the most important valleys of the Atlas mountains, at Toubkal 4167 m the highest peak in North Africa, at Mount Mgoun, and Mgoun gorges and at various places in the Central High Atlas, such as Boutghrar, Imlchil, Ait Bougmez valley. Atlas Morocco also organizes hikes south of the thousands of kasbahs’s road in the Anti Atlas, crossing some villages like Ait Youl, Kniouen and Bab n’Ali.
Morocco evokes spontaneously in the mind of its’ visitors the blue men meeting on dromedaries in the desert… Andwe forget that Morocco is country of mountains since these occupy close to the third of the total surface of the kingdom. Its 50.000 km2s, its 800 km of long, its ten summits of more than 4.000 ms and its 400 other summits passing 3.000 ms make the High Atlas one of the big mountains of the world.
